The Tussar silk is often produced by the caterpillar of a wild silk moth that is found in rain forests of Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, Chhatisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. Unlike mulberry silkworms, these caterpillars are difficult to cultivate in captivity, so the cocoons are sometimes gathered from the wilds.

 

However, it is not commercially viable to collect Tussar silk cocoons from jungles. Jungle Ghicha silk and Kosa silk (mainly produced in Chattisgarh from a worm similar to silkworm) are sales gimmicks. Ghicha or Khewa are the names given to yarns that are not dyed when Tussar silk is reeled.

 

 Ghicha silk actually is the by-product of Tussar silk. The yarns of Ghicha silk are obtained from the cocoons of Tussar Silk. As per that conventional sayings, Ghicha threads are the undyed leftovers of pure Tussar silk threads which are processed for dying. Hence, the Ghicha silk threads are natural and it offers the natural texture and an exceptional sensational weaving.

  1. If I request for a replacement, when will I get it?

 

Visit My Orders to check the status of your replacement.  In most locations, the replacement item is delivered to you at the time of pick-up. All products are eligible for returns within 7 days from the date of delivery

 

If there is any issue with your product, you can raise a refund, replacement or exchange request within 7days of receiving the product

Successful pick-up of the product is subject to the following conditions being met:

Correct and complete product (with the original brand, article number, undetached MRP tag, product's original packaging, freebies and accessories

The product should be in unused, undamaged and original condition without any stains, scratches, tears or holes and with non-tampered quality check seals/return tags/ warranty seals (wherever applicable)

(d)        Fill in the details and raise a return request

Once you raise a request, you will get an email and SMS confirming that your request is being processed. Based on the item, your request may be automatically approved or you may be contacted for more details. If the request is approved, the item will be picked up after which you will get a replacement or refund. You can also track the status of your return request instantly from the 'My Orders' section of your HomeLife account.

  1. I see the 'Cancel' button but I can't click on it. Why?

 

A greyed out and disabled 'Cancel' button can mean any one of the following:

(a)        The item has been delivered already

                                     OR

(b)        The item is non-refundable (e.g. Gift Card)
